I went to Morocco for the first time five years ago (Marrakech & Essaouira) and fell in love with everything about the country. I find the architecture and mosaic details to be extraordinarily beautiful, the food is delicious, the locals are kind although a bit too insistent and the weather is ideal.<\/p>\n

\"THE<\/p>\n

I\u2019d been wanting to visit Fez for a long time now and finally went in November for a long weekend with a girlfriend. It\u2019s the perfect time frame to visit Fez, but if you want to also go to Chefchaouen (4 hours away) then I\u2019d suggest adding another day or two. In November, the weather is hot and sunny during the day but as soon as the sun goes down, it gets quite fresh so do wrap up warm in the evenings.<\/p>\n

The medina of Fez has a remarkable history dating back to the late 8th century and you can really feel this when you wander around the narrow streets. When in Fez, you have to keep your eyes open all the time because there are beautiful spots everywhere[\/inlinetweet] that are perfect for Instagram and here are my personal favourites:<\/p>\n

\"MOROCCO<\/a><\/p>\n

\"THE
\n1) CHOUARA TANNERY <\/h3>\n

The leather tanneries in Fez are quite impressive and definitely worth the visit to take some cool photos \u2013 despite the not so pleasant smells. The rich colours, which come from natural pigments, are absolutely stunning and you will be captivated by the locals going through the cleaning, dying and drying processes.<\/p>\n

\"THE<\/h3>\n

2) MEDERSA ATTARINE<\/a><\/h3>\n

You will be mesmerised by all the stunning details of this old school which dates back to the 14th century. I\u2019m obsessed by all the colourful mosaics in Morocco[\/inlinetweet] and this is an instagramer\u2019s paradise!<\/p>\n

3) LA MAISON BLEUE<\/a><\/h3>\n

It\u2019s a hotel and a restaurant serving traditional Moroccan food with a sumptuous interior d\u00e9cor. A friend recommended the restaurant for dinner but we missed out and they weren\u2019t open for lunch when we went which was a bit disappointing. It\u2019s was still really nice to admire and everyone seemed to love it on Instagram.<\/p>\n

4) SOUKS<\/h3>\n

The souks are full of Instagrammable spots with the shops selling carpets, lamps, spices, local foods, barouches, bags, etc. A part from wanting to take endless photos you will probably want to buy everything and will regret not bringing a bigger suitcase!<\/p>\n

5) PALAIS AMANI <\/h3>\n

Palais Amani<\/a> is Fez\u2019s best kept secret in the heart of the medina. The design and decor of the riad, especially the centre fountain which is surrounded by lemon and orange trees, is so lovely and will give you plenty of inspiration for Instagram. I have some of my prettiest photos of Fez from this boutique hotel so don\u2019t miss out on getting your own ones there or even spending a night.<\/p>\n

6) DOORS<\/h3>\n

Keep your eyes open for all the stunning doors in Fez. There are so many of them and you will never get tired of a single one. Everyone seems to be captivated by the details and colours so I can assure you that your door pictures will be a success on Instagram.<\/p>\n

7) HOTEL CASCADE ROOFTOP<\/a> <\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re a fan of the perfect sunset picture, then I highly recommend going to the rooftop of this basic hotel. Food and service is Ok but the view is amazing. On one side you have the Bab Boujloud and on the other there\u2019s the M\u00e9dersa Bou Inani. The sun sets just behind the blue gate allowing you to get that perfect pink cotton candy sky which everyone loves on Instagram.<\/p>\n
