After exploring many cities in Europe, I thought I had seen it all. Booking a flight to Cape Town wasn\u2019t exactly as exciting and it didn\u2019t get me as giddy. I had little expectation for my trip as I\u2019ve never been that much of a fan of Africa. Oh, how wrong I was.<\/p>\n

Cape Town was named as one of the best cities in the world<\/a>\u00a0and arguably, one of the most beautiful\u00a0 as well. From your regular flat white at Truth Coffee and Co. to Table Mountain, and even a day trip to the Cape Wine lands, the city has just about everything. The food is phenomenal, the harbour: beautiful, and topped with one of the friendliest people on the planet. You have a mix of Asia, Europe, and Africa all in one.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re planning for a trip to the wonderful Cape already, let me give you 8 reasons\u00a0to put it in your bucket list\u00a0and\u00a0share the 8 most photogenic spots in Cape Town.<\/p>\n

\n\"Malawi<\/a><\/p>\n

1. COLORFUL HOUSES AT BO-KAAP<\/h3>\n

One of my greatest finds in Cape Town were the colorful houses at Bo-Kaap<\/a>. It\u2019s a former township and previously served as a Malay Muslim Quarter at the top of the city center. Aside from the houses, there are also a line of coffee shops and restaurants covering this area.<\/p>\n

2. VICTORIA AND ALFRED (V&A) WATERFRONT<\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re into dining at fancy restaurants while having a fantastic view \u2013 look no further than Victoria and Alfred\u00a0waterfront<\/a>! The waterfront is situated at the seaside neighborhood of the city and is also a popular destination for food markets, carnivals, and shopping. One of the best seafood restaurants in town, Baia<\/a>, is actually located here and is the sole reason why I have a stunning shot of the docks at the waterfront.<\/p>\n

3. KIRSTENBOSCH NATIONAL BOTANIC GARDEN<\/h3>\n

Recently dubbed as the most beautiful garden<\/a>\u00a0in Africa, you can take a bus to visit the botanical gardens. Here you\u2019ll find the hanging bridge which will give you a stunning view of Table Mountain\u2019s east-side. As well as you\u2019ll find a variety of beautiful flowers like Mandela\u2019s Gold<\/a>, which can\u2019t be found anywhere else in the world.<\/p>\n

4. SOUTH AFRICAN MUSEUM AND PLANETARIUM<\/h3>\n

Aside from the interesting history of our origins and the constellations, the walk at the South African Museum and Planetarium<\/a>\u00a0gardens is probably one of the scenic walks you\u2019ll take. From afar, you can have a photo with Table Mountain as your backdrop alongside the squirrels.<\/p>\n

5. BOULDERS BEACH<\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re a big fan of penguins, Boulders beach\u00a0is right up your alley! My advice is to go there around 4 in the afternoon as it isn\u2019t as crowded and the penguins do come close enough to you. Plus, the waves and sunset are gorgeous in this part of town, it would be difficult to pass it up.<\/p>\n

6. CAPE POINT OSTRICH FARM<\/h3>\n

For one, this isn\u2019t like your usual tourist destination. But the people are interesting and it will probably be one of the most beautiful farms you\u2019ve ever laid eyes on. Cape Point Ostrich Farm<\/a> is situated at the far-off towns in Cape Town and is only five minutes away from the Cape of Good Hope.<\/p>\n

7. CAPE POINT LIGHTHOUSE<\/h3>\n

As the lighthouse in the southernmost part of the country, it\u2019s also one of the coolest points in Cape Town. The lighthouse is in tune with the Cape of Good Hope, which is also incredibly photogenic. However, what I particularly loved about this is reaching the top and overlooking a good portion of the Cape and the Indian Ocean. It\u2019s incredibly beautiful to see!<\/p>\n

8. TABLE MOUNTAIN<\/h3>\n

Arguably the most photogenic location in all of Cape Town would be Table Mountain itself! It\u2019s the reason why a great number of people even head off into the Cape. You can hike<\/a>\u00a0your way up, or ride a cable car<\/a>. But trust me when I say, the view is incredibly worth it. Especially when you reach towards the other side of the mountain and see different portions of the entire city.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m positive there are so many more places! However, there\u2019s also so many to do and find in Cape Town that goes well beyond what I\u2019ve mentioned above. So, here\u2019s to hoping that these 8 reasons to visit Cape Town have left you adding it to your bucket list!<\/p>\n
